I have 700 acres of a 4,000 acre ranch to hunt deer during the regular deer season. A maximum of two ( 2 ) trophy bucks will be harvested on the acreage during the 2010 Deer Season. There are feeders and nice hunting blinds on the acreage. There is a small wheat field in the center of the property that attracts a lot of deer.   

The trophy hunting is very limited, so please be advised.
We cater to the experienced deer hunter.  However, if you
are not experienced, hunting guides are available.

The Middle Fork Ranch is primarily mesquite forests with some open patches that have been cleared with a bulldozer in Spring 2008. There are many feeders on the ranch that provide feed 365 days a year.
 
Spin feeders are positioned at every hunting stand. There is a real nice hunting stand overlooking a small wheat plot. All hunting stands are two man stands and have plexiglass windows and propane heaters for comfort on cold days.

The deal I offer for deer hunting is very fair.  Low financial risk hunts and flat rate hunts.  
I gamble on the harvest and not the hunt. That means that you do not pay a lot of money up front, but will pay a reasonable harvest fee upon taking a mature buck. I am only interested in harvesting mature bucks on the ranch. Harvesting 3-1/2 year old bucks is not acceptable. Mature bucks need to get to 5-1/2 years of age before they gain
maximum antler mass. We try to harvest mature trophy bucks that are at least 5-1/2 years old.

Texas trophy deer hunting in the Rolling Plains of North Texas. We manage the deer herd under a Quality Deer Management Program. We harvest mature bucks, management bucks and doe on the ranch. This is the 9th year of the QDM Program and the quality of our bucks is improving every year. The ranch produced a buck in 2007 that scored 183 B&C. Seven years ago, the biggest buck scored 130 B&C. The deer population continues to increase as well. We have about one deer per 35 acres.
